You might think that the megabrains at the Harvard Business Review would have something new, different and, well, brilliant to say about the megatrends in healthcare. Surely, you would think, they know something that the rest of us can only guess at. Computerised personal care protocols, maybe? New tools for tweaking the immune system? Next-generation nudge theories used to reduce demand for chronic care services?
You would be wrong. Here is a slide set from the HBR website on the 12 megatrends in health. It is all, to be honest, rather predictable: soaring demand in China and older people wanting more healthcare. Maybe a very expensive education really doesn’t have anything much to offer to the world?
